Studio G is a family photography business run by a mother and daughter duo, Lara & Greer Hoyem. We’ve enjoyed taking photos of family and friends for over two decades and are hanging up our shingle to broaden awareness of our services. We are available to travel throughout the Peninsula, from San Francisco to San Jose, to capture families and senior portraits. We specialize in creating fun and casual photo sessions that result in genuine, joyful, and striking images. Ideal clients enjoy collaborating with us to capture your family’s unique personality.
What Does the G Stand For?
The most obvious answer is that G is for Greer, the daughter in Studio G's mother-daughter duo. She inspired Lara's love of family photography, and as soon as she had her first camera phone as a young teenager surpassed her mother's skills at capturing compelling images. Lara has enjoyed over 20 years of capturing photos of Greer and her sister and many families and friends. Over the last 4 years we've collaborated on more and more photo shoots.
G also has other meanings that directly describe how Studio G approaches our family photo sessions. We like to be genuine, plan sessions that are genial (fun, light hearted), and specialize in engaging with all generations.
